I have yahoo mail set up on my ipod touch. My question is, when I delete a message on the touch is it automatically deleted from the server? Like when I log on to my computer will those messages be in my account even after I delete them from the touch? I can't access my mail online on my computer right now and just want to make sure it is deleting it so it won't pile up..

yes. you'll directly access your account when using an on-line client. you delete using the Touch and it'll be deleted from the server when in wi-fi range.

yes, computer based email clients act differently than web based clients. yahoo is a web based client. your computer or ipod are just devices to read and write. everything to do with your yahoo email account is stored and used completely online.
