Hey you guys um well I was trying to update to 1.1.2 from iTunes and then I got a message saying cannot update iPod. Now my touch wont turn on! when you press the wake buttin the apple logo just stays on there, and the only way to turn the screen off is when I hold the sleep wake button and the home button. Even when I plug into computer iTunes won recognize it. PLEASE someone help me.

    chill for a moment.

    first try full force restore

    1. hold sleep and home for a long time--- til you c the apple logo
    2. release sleep, keep holding home.
    3. then you will see the itunes sign w/ the plug
    4. release home, plug it in.

it will restore you to a 1.1.2 firmware.
from there, do w/e you want
(1.1.2 that you have is un-jailbreakable so you must downgrade first if u wish to jailbreak)

Hold home button (Make sure its powered off) then connect the iTunes cable. Keep holding the home button while it powers on. You are now in recovery mode.
