I've got an Ipod Touch that won't start in recovery mode and whilst I don't have any problems now I want to try and resolve this in case I have a problem.

Any idea why recover mode won't work (holding home and connecting to usb cable)?

I can get it to work fine on another Ipod Touch and Ipad.

same issue and i've tried and re-tried to manually put my device on recovery mode with no success.

i use iRecboot or iBOOT to put my device on recovery mode then use tinyumbrella to kick it out of recovery mode.

why different apps? iRECBOOT or iBOOT is not able to kick my device out of recovery mode. why? i don't know but using tinyumbrella seems to do the trick.

Cheers Pal. I'll check those apps out should I need recovery mode. Any ideas why this has happened? Is it something I have selected in Cydia or just one of those random things?
