my ipod touch isn't charging and i have two apple ipod cords and they both work on other ipods but not mine. My ipod touch has 3.1.2 and it is jailbroken (tethered) but the weirdest thing is that i can boot it up with the cord on the pc but it doesn't say its charging and its not detected by itunes. At the lockscreen when it is plugged in it doesnt even show the battery, i need help quick because my costco warranty time is running out

Try charging from a different USB port or a wall charger. If both don't work then restore, try again ind if still no joy then RMA it for a replacement. However I don't see how it can't be charging if it works when tethered.... sounds more like a software or user error than a hardware issue.

Is it unlocked? That was a problem with mine.

It probably has something to do with the Apple mobile device driver or the service that corresponds to it.
