    Hi,
I have a 3rd gen iPod Touch 32gb (3.1.2) I bought in the end of september. It is jailbroken and yesterday, it rebooted and it loaded the restore screen so i plugged it to my computer ready to blackra1n but the screen went off. When i pressed the power button, it didn't respond. I did the reset trick (power+home) but it didn't do anything. I tried to access it in DFU mode but my Mac doesn't even know it is plugged in. Oh and i also tried the "hit hard on your knee method and it didn't help

Is there something I can do to save my iPod or is it condamned to be bricked?

I bought it online on the Apple Store, so if I use my warranty will Apple be able to see my iPod is jailbreaked? Can they access my data even if I am unable to access my own iPod?

I'd prefer not using the warranty and fixing the iPod myself but is it possible?

I really need help and i don't have the money for a new iPod..

It's not bricked. Dfu will work. Period

Try plugging in the iPod, and hold down the home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, then restore.

    I like your positivism! but:
    I tried dfu two ways:

•hold down power+home, plug to itunes and then press only home button.

•also tried the press power 3secs, press power and home 10 secs, and then release power and press only home 20 secs.

I found those methods on forums, how am
what is your way to get in dfu mode?

I would try: plug your touch to itunes, press both power+home button for 10 seconds, release JUST to power, but keep holding on the home button and iTunes should recognized your touch. I've used that method numerous times and works all the time.

Ok, I tried to enter DFU mode in every possible way and it does not work!
I am starting to be nervous..
Do you think apple can find out if it is jailbroken or not even if even DFU does not work?

    Thanks!

DFU always works if you do it right. Follow a tutorial on youtube, some of them have countdown timers and stuff.
