I have recently purchased an Ipod touch (seems like one of the first gen maybe?). The girl didn't have the software with it so I can't seem to figure out how to do things properly - but having a Ipod nano, I did manage to recharge it ok.
Now there are only a few things I want to do :
    1) put some music on here WITHOUT itunes
    2) put some videos on here WITHOUT itunes

Is this at all possible? I don't want to use iTunes. In the past I used "floola" with my nano and that worked great (i never needed Itunes), but it doesn't seem to work with the Touch.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you can use winamp. Use itunes, it is pretty much designed with the iPod in mind.

Yeah, I am trying to avoid the iTunes. I am hoping that something like Floola exists out there for the Ipod touch.

Well it has to have software on it for anything to run. Also, there is no 100% alternative to iTunes. By that, I mean that there is no program that can do everything with your iPod that iTunes can. Charging shouldn't be a problem for you, but I suggest just using iTunes. Sure, there are a lot of stupid errors, but it's specifically for iPods.

I purchased it from someone that already has put some music and videos on it, so it is a matter of putting my own video and music on it now. Boy I really don't want to be handcuffed to itunes.

What is the work around then? Can I load videos or music without? If there is a partial solution without iTunes, I am all ears.

Those are strong words my friend, you should be careful, you have no idea if I am a lawyer or otherwise. Theft, not a chance. Bought it from someone that didn't have a use for it anymore and had since lost all of the software. My preferences for not using iTunes are my own business and should not be subjected to accusations. I hope the moderator sees your posts.
