ipod touch with water damage screen wont respond

    ipod touch fell in the sink and has some water damage the screen turns on but stays in backlight mode and the screen is not even responsive anymore so i can't even slide to unlock to access my applications any help

    Stick it in a container full of dry rice for a few days to try and absorb the moisture. As you've turned it on you have unfortunately probably fried it.

    Rule of thumb for water damage is i) do not power on, ii) stick in dry rice in a warm place for anything from a few days to a week to remove the moisture.

    Just like what studangerous said DO NOT TURN IT ON. That is the most important.
