I was on the game The Creeps and I got the Easter Egg for the Pocket God stuff and a pop up came up telling me to check out the Pocket God game. I clicked ok, and The Creeps closed out and my iPod got a messed up looking screen and rebooted.

I guess then it got done rebooting, and my iPod flashed white and got the messed up looking screen again and rebooted again! Now it is in the reboot cycle and I'm stuck. Is a clean restore the only thing I can do to save my iPod Touch? (2nd gen 3.1.2)

A quick response would be nice so I wouldnt have to worry about it tonight

Um.. All I can think about is DFU restore. Try rejailbreaking with blackra1n first

You can try, but all it would do is reboot it. So it might not get you anywhere. Probably just better off to restore first then re-jailbreak.

put in dfu mode and restore
    -connect ipod to computer
-hold home and power button for exactly 10 seconds
    - release power button and keep holding home button until your device enters dfu mode (on dfu mode the screen stays black(off)

    DFU guide

I got to a point in the restore when a bar appeared under the apple logo, and then my iPod just rebooted and I got put back in restore mode.

If it matters, my error code was 1611

Ok. If it still doesn't work (I have tried multiple times now) would Apple give me a new iPod? It hasnt been a year yet since I got my iPod...
