All right heres the deal, i was using Untetherizer to jailbreak my 2g ipod touch and then while putting it in dfu mode and running the pre-boot patch it just suddenly turned off and then now it refuses to start up. I've tried pressing the top button and the bottom together and even that wont work. Anybody have any idea??

    i no rite?

@OP: ur ipod is in DFU mode... of course it won't start up.. it has nothing to start up to. u need to just dfu again, and restore..

EDIT: u need to DFU mode again, and then re-run the redsn0w patch (the pre-jailbreak patch)... honestly dude, use either redtool or quickfreedom for now.. i've never even heard of untethereizer... so yeah..

I am running on a mac, so i cannot use redtool or quickfreedom. Untethereizer is the only program there is that i know of. It is not in DFU mode at all, its not even on, and therefore will not startup, as in not even turning on or being recognised by iTunes.

EDIT: Also i have trying putting it back in DFU, It was the first thing I tried.

Your ipod is not recognized by your computer and will not respond to any button presses BECAUSE it is either in DFU or in the patching stage.
Restore your ipod and use this (its for mac)
