sorry if i have posted this is the wrong place. newbie.

basically, i got a new ipod touch ver2 and its been working fine. but all of a sudden the screen died and when i turned it back on, it had the itunes symbol and a usb. i connected it to my computer and it said "itunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode, you must restore before it can be used in itunes"
so i of course clicked restore, it looked like it was actually restoring until all of a sudden it said "the ipod "ipod" could not be restored, an unknown error occured (6)."

how can i restore my ipod and get it working again?

my ipod is not jailbroken and im using itunes 8 (8.0.2.20(

please help and give me directions to fixing it!

All I can suggest is to hold down the top button and the home button for about 10-15sec. until the Apple shows up on the screen, then take the usb cord and plug it back into your computer and wait to see if it opens up your main screen and then try to restore it then. May not work but it is worth a try , and if that does not work you best bet is to call the store you bought it from or call the toll free support number on the Apple.com page off Google.
