Hi, I was wondering if there was a specific router setting I'm looking for to increase the download speed on my ipod touch. I have shaw extremespeed internet which runs at 15-30 Mbps, I get .9-1.1Mbps download speed. At my parent's house I get 6.5-9.76 Mbps download, and they have regular highspeed internet (7-15 Mbps). Any ideas?

Although it may not apply to your specific situation, sometimes folks don't realize they're slowing down their router by connecting lower-speed devices. Adding an 802.11b laptop to a G network will slow it down to B speeds.

For example, some Verizon FIOS customers add an N router (as a subnet) to the G router they're given; faster 802.11n devices run on the N router, and slower devices and guests use the G router. Everyone gets access, but the slower devices can't slow down the entire network
