I just started having this problem, and it's really weird.

My iPod is unjailbroken OS4.0, and now every time I connect to wi-fi on my iPod, my entire internet crashes (on my computer, and any other wireless devices)

When I load a page on safari, it takes about a minute, and then the wifi works just fine, until I put my ipod into sleep, and turn it back on. After that, it disconnects all my internet again for a few minutes.

    What could be causing this?

Turn your wifi router off and turn it back on.

Your DNS has secured a connection remote

I have had this happen to me randomly. For whatever reason my router will see 2 connections and will kick off my wired connection because of conflict. Usually resting the router will fix this.

OK so every time i updated/restored to 4.0 or 4.0.1 i had that problem too.
i was really frustrated too but figured out that after a while it will go away and it wont do it again(unless you restored again) so just be patient for a few more hours(mine took around 1/1.5 days till it stopped killing my internet)so for those days i had to go to my router VERY often to reset my internet so that it worked again...
Maybe it's our router that was messing it up or something(i have a model 7500 verizon router)
