I went away for vacation for a week or so and when i came back to do an Ipod video while rendering it in sony vegas 8.0 (build c) i got the blue screen of death...I recently installed a new usb PCI hubs. I tried restoring to a week ago...same thing.. I tried physically taking out the new usb hubs, then restoring..same thing. I tried turning on/off all of my anti virus stuff. I tried searching for viruses, defragging, cleaning all of that stuff.

If you need all of the codes and stuff that showed up on the blue screen, just tell me. Although i'll need to know how to get them back haha

    Thanks

Ah now I understand. But I must say, isn't this the wrong forum to be posting in? This is an iPod Touch Forum. We don't really help with BSOD's on windows. I'll try and help though. What state is your PC in? Does it boot? What is actually wrong with your PC.

First of all, update to Vista SP2. That will fix a lot of stuff, possibly even the BSOD. Also, download these programs - Ad-Adware, Spyware Doctor, and Microsoft Maliciouse software removal tool, and run them all once, make sure nothing dodgy is hidden on your PC.

Also do you know how to identify if you have DSL/Cable 256k or 768k?

i usually use 256k just because I'm unsure...i know it doesn't matter much but i always wondered

It means nothing, It's just telling you how long it would take for different Internet connections to download.
Glad I could help. Please let me know if anything goes wrong.

NOTE: Make sure and do all the updates from windows update before updating to SP2
