    Hi,

I have a problem with my iPod. I have had one for around 18 months now and mainly use it at work for watching video's when quiet. Recently I started having a problem. The screen would go green or freeze for a few seconds. I would have to press the home button then start it again and it would be fine. It would happen randomly.

I got annoyed and thought it was the iPod hardware fault so as it was out of warranty, I decided to buy a new one.

Guess what ? The new one does it as well.

Am I right in assuming this must be an Apple Software fault ? I have googled it and people have said it is a problem with the conversion. I have tried 4 different conversion programs but they all do the same. I haven't had a problem before so can only think it has something to do with the recent updated software.

    Can anybody help ?

    Many thanks.

p.s. I have tried restoring both and it has no effect.

It IS the conversion that's the problem. Just not the software, it's more likely the video you're trying to convert itself. Try getting another copy or version or something.

The thing is that for 18 months I have never had a problem. Then all of a sudden following the new iPod update it happens on anything I convert.

If it was on just some of my conversions then I would tend to agree, however it happens on them all.

    They can't all be faulty.
