    Does anybody know the best video converter to convert X video file to a format that works on the ipod touch.

    *its own little program just for converting videos to make the compatable with the ipt2g. Or something like that. I don't mind paying if the "best" converter is a pay version.

    I want to be able to convert MP4, RMVB , Mkv videos (and yes it says they play MP4 but... the MP4 file isnt "H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second") To Make them work on the ipt2g

    Thanks, James

    *Well ... I will give it a try.

    Ok... Just tried Videora... Not the program for me. I want to be able to convert file sizes from 699mb - 10,000mb (10gb) ...

    * Just tried converting a 700mb file it said it would take 16hrs ... And the outcome size would be 1,540mb. (Not botherd about the outcome size really but... ) It's the time mainly.

    * Isn't they a program that would convert a 700mb file in less than 1 hour ?

    Thanks, James

    I would say try Super. I use to to convert all my videos for my phone and I plan on using it for my other videos for my ipod touch whenever I stop being lazy and get to it. It can be a little confusing but once you get the hang of its pretty easy. Heres a link to a site where it explains how to use super to convert videos for the sidekick, obviously you wouldnt do it the same way but its just to look at and see what you should do.

    I use Videora, and it really depends on how good your computer is.
    sometimes time is just a part of the deal
    I would just leave my computer on for about 4 hours until it was finished
    holy crap 10gb video conversion? how do you expect that all to be converted under an hour!? well, unless you have a GREAT computer.

    I use handbrake there are a bunch of presets so you don't have to mess with all the settings.

    Why do we whore every 'general' topic into the iPod Touch 2nd Generation forum?
