is there a point to buy an ipod touch V2 if im going to jailbreak and get iphone apps?
WTF is V2??? u mean the 32gb??
There is no second generation iPod touch. If what you meant was the different size models, then there is no difference between the models, jailbreak will work on any of them
V2 is the ipod with iphone apps preinstalled. and not if ur gona jailbreak it also its cheaper without the apps any way.
First of all, there is no V2 iPod Touch. If there were a newer iPod Touch, it would be called the 2nd Generation, or 2G. The new iPod Touch's only has increased an increased storage size of 32 GB, compared to the older models' 16 GB and 8 GB sizes. Other than that, there is no difference. You will get all the iPhone apps on firmware 1.1.3 when you buy any of the three models.
If you already have an iPod Touch, there is no need to get the larger size, unless you really want to blow $500 on a few more GB of space. If you don't have one, then it's up to you to decide if it's worth it.
Im going with the regular
Ok. First of all there is a V2, but it is not a new ipoT. the v2 is an ipoT that comes with 1.1.3 firmware and the 20$ software update. Secondly, im in the same situation as you, but i think im going to go with the regular touch because even though its the same price, im not sure if you can jailbreak and keep your apps..your choice Please Register or Log in to view images

No, its still generation/version 1. There was no revision except to the software package, which any iPod touch can get if you want to pay up for it.
Its a 1st gen iPod running software/firmware 1.1.3 with the January software update.
And yes, you can jailbreak any of the firmwares.
technically it's not really a version 2 but it IS being called a V2 by some retail stores to differentiate between the two
It's not a Version 2 at all.
It's the iPod Touch with something we call the "App Pack", installed. Please Register or Log in to view images
