I was doing the original tethered jailbreak when the new untethered came out. I stopped what I was doing, and started on the untethered one. It appears now i can't jailbreak it... or restore it. I keep getting errors or it hangs on me and the iPod turns itself off.

    Any suggestions?

This is still not bricking. Bricking is when the device will not turn on no matter what because a of a software issue. What you have is just a more-difficult-than-usual problem that will likely involve DFU mode to get out of.

Wow, you just proved that you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
People have to stop saying they're bricked when it's still working...
If you can do ANYTHING at all, you're not bricked.

And nobody can help you if you don't specify what kind of errors you are getting.

    Cmd/iRecovery

    Run this:

Unplug and plug it back, white screen.

After this, restore to the custom firmware, if it doesn't work, restore to 211, then copy your custom firmware file to another computer and send this commands again, restore to custom firmware in the new computer.
