Hey I got an Ipod touch off ebay a while ago and was very happy with it as I got it cheap. But now some of the touch screen does not work(small strip on the right side. Very annoying as I can't type the letter p or press delete on the keyboard and some apps are now unusable.
I did not jailbreak the ipod and I'm running firmware 1.1.3

Is this a common problem and can it be fixed?
I don't have much of the documentation as I got it on Ebay.
    What are my options?

    Thanks.

I didn't notice until the problem first occurred last week.

Looks like the previous owner didn't register it with apple. So I was able to register it.
Can I send it back to apple now?
I have never had an apple product before so what is the RMA process like?

oh yeah, that's good you should be able to send it back now

    there's no harm in trying

i've never properly complained with an Apple product myself (2+years with iPod nano 1st gen, latest shuffle, touch) so i've never been through the process
