I have a 8 GB iPod Touch. I Restored it twice and my iPod Touch's total capacity was reduced to 7.08 GB!

How do I get it back to 8 GB?

(I found a related thread from Oct 2007 but there was no answer at the time.)

The reason is that the iPod touch firmware resides in part of that .92GB.

Did the 1.1.5 firmware take up less space? I swore I had more before, although it was not the total 8 GB.

the 2.0 took away what was about 7.55ish to 7.08 which added the appstore app

between 1.1.x and 2.x the firmwares root partition increased from 300mb to 500mb so you should have 200mb less then what you did on 1.1.x

I think 1.x.x is smaller than 2.x.x firmwares usually by about 100MB.
However don't quote me on that; I could be mistaken.
