I know my PS3 works with my friend's iPod but I haven't tried my touch, I'll test it out a little later.

I tried a couple of days ago, and my PS3 didnt recognise my touch, but does recognise my old nano.

However, have just jailbreaked my Touch, so dont know if that will make any difference or not.

I'd be interested in seeing the outcome of this - it'd be useful for a lot of people who fancy viewing content on a HD screen, or another way of controlling the music on their iTouch.

Well yes, we already know Apple removed the 'disk mode' from the iPod Touch via USB. This is why we have to SSH and SFTP into the iPod Touch to make changes to the file system.

What we're thinking is that there may be a way to develop an app for the iPod Touch that allows the PS3 to connect wirelessly and to share media.

I doubt such a patch would be released so quickly. Connectivity is a real issue.
