I am rather technologically competent, and am willing to risk a lot more than other people who seem to be "afraid" of technology.
I am aware there is a way to add themes to your iPod Touch 2G... I just don't know exactly how to do it.
If someone out there could leave a post that explains the basics, such as jailbroken/non-jailbroken requirements, the applications needed, and even some sites for sweet themes, I would greatly appreciate it.

In any event, thanks for at least looking

just download winterboard app in cydia, then find a theme you like also in cydia of course, download it. Open winterboards in springboard and check the theme that you have just downloaded

    Alright
    Thanks for the help
I have found a wonderful guide for customizing with Winterboard on:

    http://www.hackthatphone.com/20/themes_with_winterboard.html

Only problem is, the whole tutorial is focused on doing these things to an iPhone, due to it being an iPhone site. I know that certain changes (such as the cellular bar change) cannot be done on an iPod Touch since it is NOT an iPhone, but can the changes that deal with both the iPod Touch AND the iPhone (such as 5 icon dock, background theme, sound changes, battery icon changes, and notification button color) be done on an iPod Touch?

Also, I cannot remember the site off the top of my head (but could find it if necessary) had a video on how to install and use Winterboard on an iPod Touch. In the video, in order to use the downloaded Winterboard, the device had to be rebooted and it needed an application on a PC to get it back into a usable state. Is this valid, or can I just use it when I download it?
