Alright so I had iPod Touch 2nd Gen running OS 3.0 jailbroken. And it sucked. So I wanted to downgrade it to 2.2.1 OS. I tried restoring it, and it said it would restore it back to 3.0. So I said, **** you I want 2.2.1. So I downloaded 2.2.1 ipsw and tried shift restoring, and it said something like an error has occured. And my iPod was stuck on the screen that has a picture of a cord pointing towards iTunes. So what I did was delete iTunes, and install a lower version, and try updating that ways, well now my PC doesn't recognize my ipod. I tried different USB ports, and I have the most updated version, and nothing.

I kept trying to put my iPod into DFU mode, but now its just in a black screen, not even showing the screen. Idk what to do.. Any suggestions?

    Fail.

Half this site is about pirating firmware/jailbreaking.

    Thanks for helping.

I accidently let my jailbroken iTouch die from lack of battery charge and I'm stuck with the same problem, I don't really want to have to humiliate myself at the Apple store considering that I killed my warranty and I know for a fact that it's jailbroken.
