So I've been trying to jail break my itouch, somehow it stuck in the restore mode(usb cable, arrow, and itunes icon), and I'm unable to get out of it.

tried to goto DFU, doesn't work.

tried to restore itouch from itunes, doesn't work. I've tried 2.2 firmware and 8.1, 8.0, and 7.7 versions of itunes, nothing works. different computer, samething.

When restoring using itunes, I keep getting error 13 which I still can't find an answer after a week of searching.

    I'm using Vista 32bit btw.

plz help! I didn't buy apple care and I don't think apple is going to replace one once they heard I tried jail break it. any help would be appreciated!

Hmmm...is this for the ipod touch2g? I am asking that because ipod touch 2g does not have a 2.2 firmware. they only have a 2.1.1 and 2.2.1

You're not doing DFU Mode right.
    You have to be exact.

I am doing it right, I entered DFU mode several times before I got this issue I know how to do it. the thing is when I hold down home+power, the ipod shuts down, I keep holding it, the ipod turns on with the apple logo and it goes right into the recovery screen. this whole process is within 10 sec.

Thanks for all the input guys, but I'm still stucking at the recovery screen. When it shuts down, I release the power button, and with 3 sec the itouch goes back on with the recovery screen again.

and jawcl, ur link is down in that "connect to itunes screen" thread.

    Home+Power 10sec
    Home 8-10sec
    Restore.
    Use iTunes 8.1.
