I tried to jailbreak my iPod Touch and during the iNdependence part something happened and now my iPod is froze at the Apple startup logo screen. I've tried the hard reset several times, iTunes won't see it and I can get it to do anything but the logo now.. I have no idea what to do.

Does anyone know what I can do besides calling Apple now?? My girlfriend got me this for a present and she is going to kill me now...

-Hold down the sleep and home buttons at the same time, until the screen flashes and the iPod turns off.

-RELEASE the sleep button and keep holding the home button. Wait about 15-25 seconds, and you should be able to restore through iTunes.

You MUST be plugged into iTunes this whole time!

The same thing just happened to me and this worked

Thank you so much. I did everything but hold the home button down. Apple's website doesn't even say to do that. All is well now. I was worried that I'd have to send it away.. Girlfriend was pissed, but she is a happy camper now, so I am too! lol Thanks again. I still can't figure out what went wrong. It was going so well and then it choked. I think I'm done for now doin' this. I love my baby (both the iPod and the girl

I was halfway to flipping out, thinking I had bricked my touch. It's restoring now and on the road to recovery.

I know where I messed up too, I'm just too rattled now to try it again.
