i received the touch yesterday - hallelujah !!

however, last night i spent over 4 hours trying to get the damn thing to work

when i initially plugged the touch into the back of my computer a message box came up asking what action i would like to use for my digital camera !! i researched the net a bit and found that i could disable this message box - no problems.

i then download the latest itunes 7.4.3

on the next try a message box flashes up "Iphone requires Window service Pack 2 or later" !! now my Ipod touch has turned from a digital camera into an Iphone !!

however, after this upgrade there is still nothing but the image of the USB cable and CD on the screen !

i am even having problems getting it charged - all i get is the battery icon in the top right with a plug image ? in the middle !!??

i have microsoft XP 2000 - with the latest download 7.4.3

if anybody has any suggestions that would be great - can't wait to get this thing up and running !!

    thanks in advance

meant to say i had windows XP home edition which is ok for this ipod

anyway i sorted the problem last night !

all i did was uninstall the latest itunes 7.4.3 and reinstall it again

then i downloaded Windows Service pack 2 (took for ages) and bingo the ipod touch sprang into life
