Ever since I tried updating applications on my iPod Touch from the airport, everything's been screwed up. The keyboard and everything else on my iPod Touch is so sensitive. Before I tap it, it clicks itself and opens before I touch it. I recovered through iTunes and through the settings of the iPod Touch. But still it's acting so sensitive.

I updated the applications on firmware 2.0, and when I recently updated to firmware 2.0.1, it's been doing it less. But it still happens.

I'm not sure whether it's the iPod Touch or the firmware. I think it's the iPod Touch because it started to do this when I was on 2.0 in the airport using airport WiFi.

I've been trying everything and don't know what to do. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

the thermal static touch screen might be damaged somehow if it's acting up when you're not even touch the screen

restore to factory defaults and get a new one from Apple

edit: (this is my 2500'th post, I'm a Zealot now )

That's the weird part. All I did was update applications. Do you think that caused the problem? Plus the iPod Touch came as a rebate when I purchased an iMac about 1 1/2 months ago. Do you think I can ask for a new one?

Yeah, apple will still honor your one-year warranty, even if you got it for free, so dont worry about that. Just restore it once or twice (just to make sure), then take it right to Apple and get a brand new one...

Well also, I downloaded the Firmware 2.0 from a ******* website for free. That's also why I'm a little afraid because I'm not sure if Apple will give me a new iPod Touch since I downloaded the firmware for free instead of purchasing it from directly from Apple.
