    i've never heard of this happening, it was probably some outside force like a lighter in the kids pocket.

    in all seriousness though, i think something else might have caused the fire (gunpowder, fireworks, pot, etc.) and they're trying to pin it on Apple for money.

    Well my iPod has proven itself to get pretty hot. Back before my 1st gen iPod was stolen I used it as a heater (it was cold during the time I had it)
