I let my iPod Touch fall on marble floor, and now it's screen is part black, part working in a strange color pattern. The touch freatures work finely, the problem is the display. Does anyone have an explanation and/or a solution?
    Thanks in advance

Drop it the opposite way. It COULD work. No guarantees.

Sorry man it's gone :/ when you put pressure on an LCD screen it pushes the two layers together and causes what I call a compresion crack :/

and why would dropping it the other way ever work?

There's really no solution besides fixing it manually or paying Apple to do so.

Well... I guess those are solutions.
Either way, you'll be paying to fix it.
