I recently found my ipod touch (gen 1) after a year of it sitting in a relatives car. I was pretty stoked needless to say. The battery was of course stone dead. However when I plugged it in it said I needed an update to 3.0 after the battery charged. Weirdly it said iphone/ipod touch in itunes for my update. Not sure if they combined them both now.
Anyway I updated and the sync is super slow. about one song every 5 minutes. Its connected directly to the computer without any hubs and I have tried re-installing itunes and restoring my ipod (still at v3.1.3) Any idea what the problem is? I would really appreciate it,
    Thanks,
    mac0s9user

Did you set up your iPod as new when you restored it?

i think it might be because you left it in the car......car's get pretty hot sometimes and that can't be good for the hardware

I have a song called "on the win" and it took like 20 mins to sync in but another song called "numb" which was fast and they were pretty much the same size.

Yeah it could just be your first sync is this slow, just wait it out and then hit sync again so see if anything changes
