That doesn't work!! I also tried to Reboot the device and everything and it didn't work. It gives you the "reset" option and that doesn't work either. Also, I tried to reinstall the ipsw and re-hack the iPod 2g, but that doesn't work either!! PLZ HELP!! D:

Try deleting some of your Cydia apps and see if it works. Try:

    Lockdown
    5 Icon Dock
    5 Icon Rows/Columns

See if clearing those gets rid of the problem. If not, really all I can say is try to rejailbreak with redsn0w and if that doesn't work, Restore and rejailbreak.

No, that doesn't work either. Idk why. It was in "safe mode" even before I downloaded anything at all. I don't even have the lockdown on my iPod and even when I delete the 5 icon, and 5 icon dock it doesn't do anything at all. Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Not even jailbreaking it again works. Rebooting it doesn't work either. And I jailbroke it with Redsn0w originally and that doesn't work either.

how about restoring it to factory default with NO jailbreak? then see if it works. use it for a couple days, and then try jailbreaking again with a DIFFERENT tool.

What "different" tools are there? I don't understand. I mean I did everything right and I even followed other people that did it but it didn't work. This is my first time jailbreaking, at all. I don't know how to use another tool but redsn0w):

I installed something on my jailbroken ipod touch 2g (3.0) and everytime it would goto safe mode. It did that until I deleted the problem. You need to find the problem and delete or do a fresh restore to 4.0 then jailbreak.

What is it that you deleted?
And what do you mean fresh restore?
(btw, what program did you jailbreak your iPod with?)

Oh and this is 4.0 issues.
