Hey, I've had my ipod touch since August and its running on 2.1 software jailbroken. Is it normal for it to take a little while for applications to open? For example, I'll click app store and it'll load, but I won't see anything for a couple of seconds.

Also, it takes a while for pages to load when I'm on a fast internet connection. The keyboard is laggy as well at times.

I'm thinking about restoring it and updating to 2.2. Do you think it could be because its jailbroken?

    Yes it most likely is.

But restoring is kind of drastic though. Try deleting stuff from Cydia.

You could try a reboot, my ipod ran extremely slow on jailbroken 2.1 and i rebooted and it was back to normal.

Do you have alot of mobileSubsrate plugins? Like stacks, five dock icon, Quickgold, winterboard, lockdown, Backgrounder, SBSsettings etc. too many of those could slow your ipod down.
