Hey guys I'm just wondering if there is some type of app out there thats allows you to control a television? I'm speaking of course like the program you can put on a PSP. And no I'm not talking about the app that allows you to control your computer via touch I already know about that. I'm wondering about controlling my tv. Thanks in advance guys!

    Sent from my iPod.

How would this work without an infrared port?

PSP has an infrared port so it's possible. Neither the iPod Touch or iPhone have one, so it's as of now, impossible.

Although the iPod Touch or iPhone haven't an infrared, it would be cool to have this app.

Hey I looked it up ad this is for real, I'm not sure how it works with the lack of infrared, but it is going to be in the app store for a ridiculus 99$!

If you have a Tivo box with the 9.3 software, there's a iPod/iPhone app called "TiVo Remote" that works with tivo to control the box (uses telnet cmds to send the appropriate IR Code.). Great program, and they even worked in being able to see what's been recorded in your "Now Playing" list.

Actual app is on googlecode or something.
