Is it possible to upgrade my 1Gs ram to make it speedy? thanks.
i dont believe so
its soldered on, so you'd fail miserably
You might as well wait till the rumored release of the 4th gen this summer. I'm pretty good at soldering motherboards, but even I'm afraid of what would happen if I tried
It is possible to use the flash memory as RAM (just partition a portion of it as swap - will be almost as fast as RAM), but I don't think anyone has tried to do it yet. iPhone / iPod touch Linux would make this very easy to do.
Been done. Kills your iPod faster btw with the constant read/writes.
It's called VM. It does decrease the full life of your iPod but some people like me really do need it.
How would I be able to use some of the flash memory as ram? Please enlighten me
There's a tutorial on this site but I don't know where it is. Or just google "how to use vm on iPod touch"
