So I found my old iPod Touch today and thought I'd use it as my permanent alarm clock. I have it plugged into the wall and Auto-Lock set to Never. Will having it set up like this hurt it?

I figured it would kill the battery, but if it's always plugged in it should be fine, right? And I don't have much else to use it for lol. I've been using my phone as my alarm, but sometimes I forget to put my phone close and end up with my alarm going off in the kitchen or something.

I think it would be fine. Because there's no way to overcharge the battery.

Keep it on low brightness else it might fry. Very expensive alarm clock with apps and games. Not too good an idea.

I'm not gonna sell it because it's the first gen one and isn't in the greatest condition, who's gonna wanna buy that lol? Plus I have some good memories with this thing, better to put it to SOME use than have it sit around forever.

Don't worry batteries now days have ways of not overcharging. Or else we would have batterygate.

What generation is it? If its a 1G I think some people would want it for things like I think it can run Android. If its a non MC 2G people might want it because its so much easier to jailbreak.
But I kind of like the idea of a iPod Touch as an alarm clock
