    lo lo,

    Ok, heres the situation...

Is it possible for me to connect my iPod Touch to my laptop via WiFi? both the laptop and iPod Touch have WiFi built in.

My laptop is connected to a network via an enthernet cable, and uses a proxy to connect to the net.

What i want to do is connect my iPod Touch to my laptops wireless, and then i can use the laptops internet connection on my iPod Touch.

Is this possible? Im sure there is a way of doing this with internet connection sharing.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks

    ah ok. here's the solution.

    buy a wireless router. wirelessG

connect the ethernet cable onto it. (the cable that's on the laptop.)

and there's a extra ethernet cable in the wireless G router package, connect it to the laptop.

when it is connected, that's it, your ipod can detect the wifi connection.

    good luck.

You could create an ad-hoc network with your wireless card and set you laptop to allow others to connect to the internet through it... then you would find the wireless signal on the ipod and connect

I can confirm that this works as described by Skyvette427, I do it with my laptop that runs XP.
