My ipod died this feb when i opened it coz my home button stopped responding. After i disassembled it and then reassembled it (as per videos on youtube), it wont switch on. The battery leads had broken but i soldered them back. Could it be a battery problem?
what should the voltage across the red, black and white terminals be? Any idea?
having a broken ipod is like having a part of you die. trust me.
    please advise

The battery for the iPod touch is 3.7V, if that helps.

mine show 1.5V sometimes and 2.6V other times between the red and black & red and white terminals (white and black have the same voltage but are not shorted). Can't figure out the cause of this fluctuation. It says 3.7V on the battery but when batteries start to discharge, the voltage generally falls.
