Alright, well.. since in my other threads I failed to describe the situation well enough for people to understand, but what's happening is.. This iPod Touch is stuck in recovery mode and I want to recover it. However, it's not detected period, in Recovery Mode, in DFU Mode, or just normally. It charges, but will not be detected. Any help?

    Yes I have libusb

    Windows XP SP 2

No it's not my computer, tried it on 3 other computers

No it's not the cable tried 3 different cables

put in DFU. Doesnt matter if not recognized. Then restore.

Is there anything on the screen? (like the "Connect to iTunes" icon)

Try holding the power and home buttons until it resets.

Okay, first I did put it in DFU mode. In fact it's in DFU mode right now but I can't restore it because my computer doesn't recognize it as being plugged in.
And don't try and call me stupid and say I'm not doing it right, because I know it's in DFU mode, and I know how to put an iPod in DFU mode. And second, it used to display a connect to itunes message, but now it's just stuck in the iTunes Icon and USB Plugin icon(Recovery mode) and it's not being detected.

how do you know it's in DFU if it's not recognized by your computer?

your obviously doing something wrong, since DFU is the ULTIMATE fix

oh my goshhh.. I know it's in DFU mode because when you're in DFU mode there's a black screen and it should look like you can't turn it on, but it's on in DFU mode. And I've done DFU mode I know how to use DFU mode noone's listening that even in DFU mode it's not recognized.
