Just recently, my Ipod Touch stopped working (it's been hacked into...idk, my brother did it for me, it has a pineapple when it starts up). I'm using a mac and it will not recognize it on my computer anymore. Nor does anything show up on the ipod's screen when it's plugged in. I tried resetting it, nothing happens. However, when I plug it into a wall charger, it displays the pineapple for a couple seconds and then shuts off. I've left it in the wall charger over night a could different times and it still doesn't work, so it's not the battery.

It also MIGHT have water damage? I carry a water bottle in my purse and it leaked one day, but my ipod was not like drenched in water, so...

If anyone can help, that'd be great! I had an appointment with Apple to see if they could fix it, but my brother said I should see if I can fix it myself first, otherwise they'll see I hacked into it and my warranty will stop.

actually i think you can just hold down the home button and plug it in at the same time and hold it until it goes into recovery. then try the post.
