iPod touch newbie with sync issue..please advise!

    Thanks for looking...

    I have a iPod Touch v1 32gb. No problems at all...except when I go to update it the machine SOMETIMES wants to sync ALL the files again from scratch rather than just updating the coupke of extra files I might have added to my itunes program. This takes AGES of course - and if I cancel the sync then I am left with the tiny amount of songs that have already made it on before cancellation.

    So why is the machine going for a full reload rather than a quick update. What have I got set incorrectly?

    Make sure the files haven't been edited, if that's not the problem then restore your iPod. Also, if you haven't, update your iPod touch to firmware to 2.1 and syncing and updating is much faster.

    You can choose to manually manage your music and videos, as shown below.

    This should solve your problem.
