I have an 8 gig iPod Touch. It is currently running the 1.1.3 firmware from Apple and has not been jailbroken. It had also been force restored to 1.1.2 before it was updated to 1.1.3. So, can anyone tell me why it says my iPod is only 7.27 gigs? Are the remaining .73 gigabytes the 1.1.3 firmware?

If you have an unjailbroken touch it might also help if you tell me what it says for yours.

the formatted capacity of any memory device is never a full number. if you have a 256 MB flash drive, its only about 242 MB. i have a 400 GB hard drive thats actually only 376 GB. and a 8 GB ipod touch has only 7.56 GB truthfully. theres 7.27 GB for your media, and 300 MB for your OS/applications partition. that missing 440 MB was never there to begin with.

OK. On 1.1.3 with Soft. Upgrade how can I completely make it like it was in the factory? I want to remove everything jailbreak so that no one could ever tell it ever was...

Should I just put it in recovery mode then hit restore?
