hi guys im the same guy who made the thread entitled "iPod touch SIM card Adaptor?"lol
i just had a great idea once more!
what if we had a SD card reader adapter
think about it! you would be able to add more space to your ipod, using a special software you can put your songs in it and format them the way itunes does and with lots of tweaks to the ipod's firmware with just one package from installer. your ipod would be able to read those music, movie, and picture files normally as it would have before.
please don't call me an idiot

it would be easy to make too!!! cant be harder than the ipod Voip application!(well maybe)
    what do u think?
BTW: The adaptor would look like the voip adaptor that connects to the dock port but with a little slot for SD cards..
    Cheers_

yeah, that would be a good idea, but where do you want to put the adapter?

The dock port under the touch
it will be as small as the Voip adaptor

But still, if you put your touch in your pocket, you probably dont want to disconnect the dock by a bad move...

If Apple did that, they would have a lot of trouble selling future versions of the iPod Touch with greater memory capacities.

well it could come off accidentally but you can connect it back again
i mean, how easily does the sync cable come off?
not so easy that it would come off in your pocket.
and even if it does come, the application in the ipod touch could detect that it isent present and kill what ever music you were playing before and go straight into you library
