After I upgraded my Ipod Touch 16GB 2 gen MB model to iOS4 and jailbreaked (redsn0w) it, now it loose battery fast in standby. If I charge it, and lay it on the table without using it, the battery life is droped på 50 % after 2 days!!!

Is it the iOS4 or the jailbreak that cause the problem, and have other the same problem?

I head of battery problem on the original Iphone 1 G and iOS4

iPod touch dude. That would make sense for an iphone if your in a low signal area. Anyway, apple have finally admitted that ios4 is bad for the iPhone 3G and iPod touch second gen. Your best downgrading If you have your shsh codes stored with cydia for earlier firmwares.

I have the 2nd gen MC model and I have no issues whatsoever. You most likely just need to turn wi-fi off while not using it and put your brightness down to a low setting. Also keep air-plane mode on.

I thought iPod Touches don't have airplane mode? all you need to turn off is Wifi and theres a whole setting page for that.

I beileve that iOS 4 added airplane mode for iPod Touches
and i think the battery problem is because wifi always stays on in iOS 4
when the iPod is in standby.

You can set wifi off. Also the iOS 4 did add airplane mode for iPods. It's quite a nice feature to me.

Meh, I've had 4 iPod Touches. Only one of them broke, the other 3 was one for each generation

. The wifi never seriously took out of the battery during standby.

I left mine on standby for about 2-3 days with wifi on and it was like from 80 to 44.To it really doesn't affect it that much but with it off it saves a lot of battery.
