Not too impressed, the Archos Internet Tablet 43 is about 10 tines better except for one thing — no multitouch.

EDIT: AND its the same price as the Galaxy Player. Supposedly.

All I saw was an iPod touch dressed in white. Oh, and it had a bad virus: Android.

I am disappointed by this new iPod touch gen, so either I'll wait for a 5G or I'll get the Samsung Galaxy S PMP.

iPod Touch killer? Nah. Apple has grown into too big of a behemoth for anything selling even remotely close to its price point to pose much of a threat to the iPod Touch. People seem to identify the iPod as a status symbol, and it's something that's not easily overcome.

Now, is this a good thing for competition? Sure. All the power to different devs to get Apple uncomfortable and ultimately deliver to us a better product. Kudos to Samsung for taking a step of faith. I doubt it sells extremely well (heck, it's using an outdated form of Android IIRC...), but in 2/3 years I could definitely see a viable competitor for the Touch on the horizon.

What's so bad about android? nothing...besides the lack of hardware acceleration, which is coming in 3.0 anyway, it's just as good as iOS.

As a "hardcore" Apple fan, this device looks pretty cool. I doubt this would be an iPod touch killer. Apple has something up their sleeves (hopefully) for the next gen iPod touch.

Until the Android Market matures a bit, I'm going to be sticking with my iPod Touch as my main device. But this definitely looks nice, I may pick it up just for the hell of it (depending on the price and capacity).
