iPod touch Jailbreak discussion

    tried all that. no go. i'm sorry to say that i'm actually going to return my ipod and just get an iphone. same price plus its a phone. but i'm still going to research on how to get it showing up as a mass storage device or until jailbreak gets fixed.

    and im having my buddy look at usbaapl.sys to see if it can be modified.

    if you plug the touch into and older version of itunes will it recognize it as an ipod? if so can you enable disk use from there?

    I cant get it to show up. Do I need to install the itunes phone driver as well?

    no, if it uses a new driver then it'll no not to put enable disk use.

    Its not showing up at all in 7.0.1 or 7.2.0

    Our best bet at this point is probably trying to modify usbaapl.sys or waiting to see what the iPhone dev team does with iPhuc

    Yeah but even if they did modify usbaapl.sys to work, couldn't Apple just patch that with a new iTunes?
