    Hi

I have a PC. I have jailbreaked my ipod touch today (using the same
method as in "How to Jailbreak Your iPod Touch (Windows)") and
installed a few apps such as Maps and Mail. Either downloaded or from
the iphone apps download you provided.

However I am now not able to sync itunes with ipod. Also for some
reason I cannot even copy songs manually??

I jailbroke the ipod which at work and it seems to work well and I
just drag and dropped some songs across.

However I am now at home and trying to sync with all the songs I have
and it gives some error about not able to read or write to disk. (Is
there a reason I cannot even manually copy songs?? Is it cause I am on
    a different itunes??)

Is there a way to fix this??? If I use the one-click jailbreak method
    would that work better??

    Thanks in advance

Im no whiz at this sort of stuff, but factory restore your iPod and try.

I get the same issue sometimes, and mine isnt even jailbroken.

Dont just restore! it is probably what plg says, but since you have done the jailbreak you might not have that problem at home. Try reinstalling iTunes, and if that doesn't help when at work select automatically open itunes and manually manage files in the settings and try again at home.

I have the same problem and its doing my head in!

I am slowly syncing back everything (I get a few songs in before the read/write error) but it still sucks.

    This is what Apple suggest:

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301267

didn't work for me.. for other ipods they suggest use disk mode and search via add/remove hardware.

This is a big problem for a lot of people, if anyone has solved it please post it for everyone.
