Another reason to love the touch. So here's the story my family went to Bahamas for vacation and I got terrible sunburnt so, after we had been back for about a week I decided to take an extremely hot bath in order to help my skin peel easier so I could get it all off (gross I know.) any who, I was listening to music while soaking and then, on accident, my worst nightmare happened. The touch fell in the tube and I mean it was totally submurged. I quickly jumped up and got pulled up my drowning touch, dryer it off, then performed CPR (ok that last part was a joke). To my joy the screen was still lit and everything seems to still be going great. Even more to my amazement my apple ear buds still work after going under to. So I guess apples stuff isn't to crapily made.

Well, you got extremely lucky, as the Touch is absolutely not waterproof. People have ruined them with less contact with water than yours got. Be very thankful yours survived.

Apple's stuff definitely isn't crappiuly made, My old nano was run over by at least 10 cars, it got dented but it still works fine.

This is because it is somewhat Airtight, so lets say you DID DO CPR which would be.

Suck out the Water from the USB connector, then with that you would suck all the water out. And it would be dry, also from the headphone jack and the top button and maybe the home button. But if you didn't do that, then it was because when the iPod fell in the water since It is somewhat Air Tight, that's the reason it survived.

    Unless your lying then yeah.

Unreal. I can't believe you're that lucky. I've ruined more devices than i want to count doing things like that.
