    Hi.
I put a ipod touch firmware 2.1 on my ipod toch and then jailbroke it. it was working just fine. then I wanted to install some game on my ipod touch. so fallowed an instruction on a website which said "replace Mobileinstallation with the F***ed one" and so I did. then I restarted my ipod and then nothing happend. it didnt started up. it just showed apple logo and nothing else happened. just sometimes it goes black and then again shows apple logo. and it was like that until the battery finished.
please someone tell me what should I do?

i dont think if it was virused. because when I reviewed what i did I noticed that the MobileInstallation was for firmware 2.0 and I have put it on Firmware 2.1

restore and do not attempt to replace that file.
FYI, you should ALWAYS make backups. end of story.

your permissions are incorrectly set on your mobileinstallation file. if you can still access the device via ssh, you can fix this by setting the mi's permissions to 0755

mobileinstalltion is diffrent in 2.0 and 2.1 what you did wrong was use a 2.0 mobileinstalltion when you should have used a 2.1 mobile installtion
