I bought this used on craigslist. It had Cydia on it, but the guy said he hadn't fully jailbroken it. It worked fine. then I tried to restore it, and iTunes said it wasn't eligable for a restore. so I went into the settings and restored it from there. Now when I turn it on, it goes to the apple logo for about 5 minutes, than a loading wheel pops up, it it freezes there.

    What can I do?

    It's a 3rd Gen 32 GB iPod Touch model.

Also, iTunes will not recognize the iPod anymore.

I don't know what DFU is. iTunes will not recognize the iPod.

Here's how to put it in DFU.
    1. Connect your iPod to your comp.
    2. Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time for 10 seconds.
    3. Then let go of the Sleep/Wake button and keep holding the home button for another 8 seconds.
Your iPod's screen will be black and a iTunes popup will tell you it's in recovery mode and you need to restore.
Then hit the restore button in iTunes. Or if you have the firmware on your comp, hold down shift and click restore and direct it to the firmware file.
