Because of the lack of a video out system (Like Jobs has), that allows for video out while you're using your iPod Touch/iPhone regularly, I'd like to see an application that lets you record video of your screen while you're using it.

I know this would be beneficial to many developers and businesses out there, and I know people would pay for this.

So please, any developer looking for something new to work on, please work on this.

    Thanks,
    -Chris

That would be cool but the touch might not have enough recourses to support an app like that maybe it could take a series of screenshots that you could edit into a video.

maybe if you could set it to like 5 - 30 seconds, and have it take multiple frame shots of what you're doing(like 10 frames per second), and then somehow compile all the images into an mp4

That's not really what I want at all. That allows the camera on the iPhone to take videos of whatever it's looking at. What I'm looking for is something to take video of what's happening on the screen as you use it.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. It doesn't even necessarily have to compile them all on the iPod Touch/iPhone. It could put them in a folder in the media folder. You could just ssh into that folder, copy and paste them out, and use whatever program to compile them into the video of your choice.

So basically it just needs to take 5-10 frames of pictures per second, put them in a media folder it creates, and I could do the rest. A really fast version of the Capture program (or any other program that takes screen grabs) would probably suffice.

Anyone know how to generate a program that'll accomplish this?

Sweet. I think there used to be an app like this. But it was never released (But videoed). But it had a horrible FPS.
