So last week, I dropped my Samsung phone in the toilet... before using, hah. After a few hours, it was back to normal. (and still is)

On Friday, I had a mug of Iced Tea sitting in my lap as I surf on Safari with my iPod touch. It slipped right off my hand onto the iced tea, getting 3/4 of it wet. I was like...WTF, can't believe this just happened. The screen froze, got alot dimmer, and so I couldn't turn it off. It eventually turned all black sooooo.... I quickly dried it with paper towels. Huuuge mistake, I set it on my ihome thing for a few seconds, realizing that wouldn't work (and I later read that was a badddddddd bad idea..) I just let it rest in a ziplock full of rice and a bunch of silica pouches (from shoe boxes at work haha). 48 hours later, I turned it on... the screen dim, then went to the menu--all bright, like it was normal, the battery went down quickly, it lost it's touch screen capabilities, it kept on flashing white after a while... I put my headphones on and it was making a bunch of unpleasant noises. ITunes does not recognize it.

Yes- the water sensor paper thing in the headphone jack is half white, half red. No, alcohol does not change the color. I used 70% ispropyl rubbing alcohol and it didn't do anything.

Now, I'm just going to let it sit in rice packet again. No hope? :[

That's sad to hear, but it looks like your out of warranty because of the water damage sensor
